Clint at least made reference to Iraq, but he was the rare one. And it was only to point out that Obama had been against it. Romney did support the war, but he did not mention the country where over 4,400 U.S. Soldiers lost their lives. Nor was he interested in Afghanistan; over 1,000 have died there. No thank you; no expression of admiration; and no message for the grieving families. Not a word. Dead, and forgotten.
I was certainly against the war in Iraq, not only because it was a strategic error of great magnitude, but also because of the lives that would be lost. Those lives deserve recognition.
The convention was supposed to show us the heart of Mitt Romney. It certainlly did.
