Picture taken by a guest at the Serena Lodge - probably along the Grimeti River. This is the animal responsible for the most dead humans in Tanzania - far more than the big cats.

The Serongeti Serena Lodge - the last place I'm scheduled to stay, and the only permanent lodge. The cabins are scattered about the central lodge building.

(When I was here before, our guide completely lost his temper, without grounds, at two of my nephews. )
