Could someone please tell our friends on the right that gloating is unattractive?
Jim Geraghty wrote of the Economist's story on Gov Elect Bobby Jindal at the National Review on line:
Democrats need not worry that she [Clinton] would hurt their candidates' chances in Louisiana, as the party's statewide candidates are doomed there anyway. The Economist notes, "[Senator] Landrieu won New Orleans by almost 80,000 votes in 2002, twice her overall margin of victory. This time, that was more votes than all the candidates got combined in the city that was once the alpha and the omega of Louisiana politics."
Why so many fewer votes in New Orleans? Could it be because of the Federal Government's failure to rebuild the city since Katrina?
It's a harsh way to take over the State Capital, but it's the Republican way.
