Paul Begala at the Huffington Post agrees with what I've been trying to say in my last two posts, and he says it better. In "Democrats Should Attack Bush, not Move On" he writes that
Mr. Bush is a coward and a bully. He knows he'll never be the kind of hero his father was. He knows he lacks the heroism of John Kerry or Max Cleland, so he overcompensates with bluster and bravado.
He also lists some of the actual slurs made by Republicans against military heroes that Bush failed to repudiate. Go read it.
