It's happened again. Michelle and friends find it "out-bleeping-rageous!" that a child is asked by her mother to obey the laws of the United States of America and the rules of her school.
The "out-bleeping-rageous" comment came from Right Wing News. Michelle herself wrote that the North Carolina school district was "treating the American Flag like a Crips Bandana."
The heinous crime erupted yesterday, according to Michelle, on the anniversary of September 11.
"Gayle Langston said her daughter, Jessica, was told to remove her stars and stripes t-shirt."
The criminal who "told" poor Jessica was none other than her mother, Gayle Langston:
“Today she wanted to wear her shirt, and I had to tell her no,” said Langston. “She didn’t like it at all because I knew it would get her in trouble. Of all days, 9/11, she could not wear her American Flag shirt.”
You see the real victims of 9/11 are Michelle, Gayle, Jessica, and their friends. Yesterday's post about "remembrance" by Michelle ended with a big photo of - Michelle!
That the majority of deaths happened at the World Trade Center in New York is not important. Michelle has always echoed Rove's unending attacks on New Yorkers. Like those who organized the ceremonies yesterday, she has little very interest in the 36 countries who lost citizens that September day in New York.
The real problem is that Jessica can't wear a flag t-shirt to school. After flag wearers got involved in fights, school officials decided that no flags would be worn at school. The site, Wake up Americans, was among those upset - "The American Flag is not being allowed to be worn on clothing, right here in America" - was the head line of their post.
Never mind that it is illegal to wear the American Flag "right here in America." The U.S. Flag Code (4 U.S. Code 1) is clear. Section (d.) says:
"The flag should never be used as wearing apparel, bedding or drapery."
Section (i):
"The Flag... should not be embroidered on such articles as cushions or handkerchiefs..."
And Section (j.)
"No part of the flag should ever be used as a costume or athletic uniform."
Still, people like stop the aclu go so far as to list contact numbers for the school in question. Those officials must be harassed.
All because they cannot understand that flying the flag at half mast has a meaning different from wearing it on a t-shirt; that 9/11 is not an opportunity for them, but a tragedy for those who actually suffered.
Michelle "McCarthy" Malkin hasn't a clue.
