These images were captured on Friday morning at around 10:00 A.M, Dec 16, 2005, a beautiful morning in New York. The evening before we'd had an icy, sleety downpour, and even early on Friday morning there was still a lot of rain. But by mid-morning the sun was out, and the real George W. looked regal on his horse. This statue is at the southern end of the park, and is pointing directly south. The two pictures were taken from roughly the same vantage point - the one of the statue itself was taken while pointing the camera east, while the shadow was taken by looking west.
