This plaque is one of a series that are part of the sidewalk around Union Square park. Sarah Bernhardt was appearing a little less than a block away from the park on April 16, 1887.

Another rainy day in New York; these are empty vegetable crates, ready to be put back on the truck after a day at the Farmer's Market.
These kids have been chilling at the playground with friends. They are in day care, and they are not tied to the rope - but are graspings handles that are on it.
If it's true that N.Y. is a jungle, it's a very well planned one.
