Former Bishop Mitt Romney recently spoke with Politico, explaining why he deserves election. You see he 'believes that people' are "looking for someone who can get the country growing again with more jobs and more take home pay, and I think they realize this president had four years to do that... He got every piece of legislation he wanted passed, and it didn't work."
You probably remember that the voice of the Republican party, Rush Limbaugh, said before Obama even took office that he wanted Obama to fail. But your memory is faulty. It never happened. Rush wouldn't have said something like that.
You see, the new fact is (in the world according to Mitt) the Republicans were really cooperative with the newly elected President - perhaps even models of bipartisanship.
Over at Whiskey Fire Thers noted the same problem, when he referred to Rick Moran's piece in which Moran wrote: "Regardless, the GOP has passed several of the president's "jobs" initiatives that have had no effect whatsoever on the employment situation."
To which Thers replied with restraint: "No the GOP fucking hasn't, and fuck you five times on a fuscksickle for a fucking fucked-up-straight-up-lie. Name one."
Remember when Senator Mitch McConnell said that "The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president." ?? Well, of course you don't. It never happened. (National Journal October 2010)
I can understand that Mr Obama's campain might not want to appear to be wining. But he can't let them rewrite history. The Republican House has been as obstuctionist as it possibly could.
Give'em Hell Barry!
